Revengance!  What a name.  Platinum Games' collaboration with Kojima Productions will be playable on the show floor at E3 this year and we look forward to bringing you our impressions of the game.  In the meantime however we have the E3 2012 trailer of the game, which you can watch above.  For the naysayers out there that still argue against the style and gameplay changes made I can only offer this rebuttal at this point: come on.  Come onnnnnn.

As if you needed an incentive to buy the Zone of the Enders HD Collection when it arrives later this year (and you SHOULD) Konami is repeating history with this release by including a demo for Revengance in the HD collection.  Sure, the demo will be available later on Xbox Live and the Playstation Network but this is a wonderful incentive nonetheless.  For those on the fence about getting the HD collection (WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!) check out the new developer diary from Hideo Kojima himself below.

Zone of the Enders was the first game I got for my PS2 back in the day. I loved both games in the series and will definitively buy the HD collection. It's cool they will have a demo for a Metal Gear game like the first game too.

I don't know about other people but I'm looking forward to Rising as an action games especially since it's being made by Platinum.

I hope Konami doesn't screw us over like they did with the Silent Hill Collection for ZOE besides that I am really looking forward to Revengance.

The only problem I can foresee in Rising would be the camera. It looks like there may be some areas when Raiden's speed may exceed the camera's ability to keep up, but honestly I doubt there will be an issue at all. I like the looks of Rising and can't wait to play it for myself.

Oh wow, that Rising trailer has restored my faith in this game since the developer switch, I'm happy to see the precice cutting funtion returning and a good show of some of the new "stealth".

I never played ZOE but that trailer looked pretty sweet.

At least Metal Gear was given to a competent developer, I'll try it.

This is why I love Platinum Games. Raiden freakin jumps from ROCKET TO ROCKET (Super Mario 3 style) to slice a helicopter into bits. Oh, that Gekko wanted to get his tentacle on Raidens sweet cyber ninja body? No problem, swing it like an effin mace.
And then there the signature Kojima touch, "war. Blah, blah, blah. USA conspiracies. Blah, blah, blah"
It's a match made in gaming heaven.
Oh, and smart move, Konami. "early 2013". DmC (that hot mess from Ca[sh]pcom is also being released "early 2013".
