Hitman has been slowly edging its way on my to buy list but I'm still skeptical about it I'll wait until the final release.

I'm still wary too, but the recent information and reactions have been a lot more promising.
As Brad says though, a big question is whether they had the good stuff lined up for the footage here, or whether the rest of the game can also live up to that level.

Keep in mind, we did see 2 levels. We played the China Town level and saw a new level behind closed doors. Thats 2 levels that show the depth and promise of a proper Hitman game.

I thought the first gameplay footage (cops/library) that IO showed was an early tutorial level.

People seem to forget that the first level of Blood Money was a very non-hitman run-and-gun level.
