I've spoken before about Dishonored, Arkane Studios' first full title since Dark Messiah of Might and Magic in 2006, and I've been adamant about just how great this game looks. What Brad and many of the 4Player staff have felt about games like Dragon's Dogma and Anarchy Reigns, I have felt the same warm, fuzzy feeling for this game. And now, finally, after nearly nine months of waiting, you guys finally get to see what made me fall in love with this game at QuakeCon last year.
The trailer above will not only give you the notions of Half-Life 2, you'll also get the sense that games like Bioshock and Assassin's Creed played a role in inspiring this tale. To that end, I'm willing to speculate that this game just might be the next Bioshock, a new IP that comes along blows the player away with a world unlike anything we've seen in years. October 9th can't come soon enough for me.
Hopefully we'll have an in-depth discussion about the game sometime during E3. Stay tuned.

O_O I was just watching the preview trailer last night and OMG I can't wait for this game. This and Prey 2, Bethesda found some nice gems to publish.

Looks like a really mean and dark game. By the trailer it almost looks like a new Bioshock game. Good shit!

Seeing as Harvey Smith is working on this, I think it has a much bigger Thief 3 influence than Assassin's Creed. And that's good, because it can be the best stealth title to come out in years.

I really dislike the trend of "gameplay trailers" being nothing but assorted kill animations broken up by short cut-scenes. This tells me nothing about your game other than the fact your kill people.
