According to a recent tweet by Sega we're going to have to wait a lot longer than I had hoped for Platinum Game's online beat 'em up Anarchy Reigns. The game has been subject to numerous delays since it was first announced. The most recent delay occurred only a few weeks ago, changing Anarchy Reigns' release date status for North America and Europe to TBC (To be confirmed). In response to questions about the status of the game Sega had this to say on twitter about the release date:

That's one hell of a wait, especially since Anarchy Reigns is still being released in Japan on July 5th of this year. I have no doubts that the game is fully localized but it looks like Sega's going to sit on it until they're ready to sell it outside of Japan. For those who can't wait and are looking to import I have some interesting news. According to a tweet by JP Kellams, a Platinum Games employee, the Xbox 360 version of the game is region free. This should at least give you a few more options to work with if you're planning on importing.

That's actually sooner than I had expected I hope the game comes out as a XBLA or at least a $40-$60 game I don't see it succeeding as a full priced AAA game.
