A "retail source" has sent Kotaku an image purported to be some teaser marketing for the yet unannounced Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

The fact that there will be yet another Modern Warfare game is not necessarily news, but there has only been speculation as to what that would entail. Recent rumors have been focusing on the Black Ops series, and after MW3 it does makes sense for the series to go back to that particular title lineage.

Activision, of course, is not commenting on the subject.

Maybe two weeks until a new trailer or something they reveal?

That´s exactly what makes all of this so sad, sucking people´s money out of their pockets just for some update?
That´s what it is, like it or not.
If you feel offended about my trolling that´s allright, couldn´t chose the best words to express how a single company is indirectly offending as much people as I am.

I would be more skeptical if I wasn't so sure Treyarch was working on the next Call of Duty game as we speak. No matter what anyone says, Black Ops had one of the most enjoyable campaigns I've ever experienced in a console shooter, aside from Halo. I'll always have a special place in my heart for the vast potential Treyarch always had.

No doubt we all know another Call of Duty is coming, but this just looks fake to me. The text and logos look completely pasted on. They don't appear to take on any of the textures or properties that the photo is printed on.

Of course regardless of it being real or not, news of a "new" CoD game is something we've all come to expect at this point.
