Brad's alone this week but never fear: he's got some great trailers for you.  From the sandy shores of a Pacific island to the far reaches of the planet Pandora, Brad wants to show you some great gaming worlds.

I also want to offer my most sincere apologies for the belated posting of this episode.  I came down with a bout of strep throat Wednesday morning and it left me near-bed ridden until Saturday.  I only get that sick once every three or four years though so I think we're good through at least 2015.

That Zero thing is a little weird.. but it honestly wouldn't surprise me if most, if not all, people at Gearbox haven't seen that Anarchy Reigns trailer. I mean, come on... That game is way under the radar. And Zero as a name isn't so uncommon-sounding for a character like that.

I would say the whole zero thing is just a coincidence. Yeah Borderlands does look good and honestly I wasn't a fan of the original and I'm kind of hoping this time around there will be a bit more variety and a lot less walking around doing boring quests and finding more often then not shitty loot.

Wouldn't mind playing a new Fire Emblem either since I haven't played one since the first one on GBA (For us Amuricans) and I am curious to see how that franchise has changed.

ugh brad the name "zero" aside, the ninja looks more like the ones in the General Knoxx DLC of borderlands. There was even this ninja cyborg chick u had to save, athena?, and her cyborg ninja assassin sisters u had to kill. I don't think anyone else is making the connection brad is making tho. I mean if u think about it "cyborg ninja assasin" whats the most easiest and common name to pop up first in ur head? I bet "zero" would be up there.

Zero reminds me of Mutant Zero from the Marvel comics... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/88/Mutantzero.PNG

Zero seems like a common name for mysterious bad-asses though. I'm looking forward to Far Cry 3 and definitely Borderlands, hopefully they both made some improvements after their predecessors.

Funny how no one mentions Zero from the Megaman series. You know, the ORIGINAL ZERO.

Good episode, I've always loved Fire Emblem but it alone isn't enough to make me jump on the 3DS yet. I hope Borderlands 2 does well. I liked the original but never finished it (burned out pretty early without friends to play with) so I hope the new one can actually be fun for single player too.

Finally someone else who notices the weird Zero coincidence.

If I remember correctly, Fire Emblem 8: The Sacred Stones had a world map similar to what they showed in the trailer for this new one. It offered a nice change of pace to the otherwise very linear formula of Fire Emblem games, even going so far as to have increasingly challenging dungeons full of enemies at different points on the map not unlike a Tatcics Ogre.

Gray Fox was formerly known as Null.

Mathematically, null is defined as holding a value of zero.

Ninja conspiracy or lack of creativity?
