Hexagon is a simple high score action game by Terry Cavanagh. A spinning, beat-pulsating, color-spectrum-shifting hexagon sits in the middle of the screen and one controls a small triangle as line segments of increasing complexity begin to gravitate inward towards the hexagon. The goal being to avoid the incoming segments--to survive as long as possible. It is a good idea, but it calls out for a better control scheme; the triangle's rotation around the hexagon is an analog feeling that is translated to digital keys. There is a little bit of a speed up the longer one holds down the arrow key to rotate and just the most minute stopping delay when releasing the arrow key. It does do some very smart things that are easy to over look though; the most notable example is the background’s alternating shades of color, which makes quick judgements of where to go easier. Hexagon is a really good idea that plays with really tight tolerances but it doesn’t quite have the most ideal controls to go along with it. They are not bad by any means though, the game is still very enjoyable.

Dude, I played this last night, its like the addicting adrenaline rush in VVVVVV's super megatron with good music. Ehh, does it really need to have more controls then moving left and right? That's kind of the simple challenge, to require you to move in these tight spots.
