Ahaha, this was hilarious when it happened. I've had similar experiences, only it was couriers talking to me while the entire town was trying to kill me.
A less enjoyable experience, I'll admit.

My most memorable instance of this occurring was when I discovered I was married to a Hagraven and a dragon decides to just spray us with ice breath while I was sitting there terrified of what happened.
