Pretty high on today's list of 'creepy things people want to invent' is a new pantent filed by Microsoft suggesting that the Kinect sensor can be adjusted to detect a persons age and restrict content based on its assumption.

The patent was filed back in 2010 but is being made public today as, most probably, a warning for those who may decide to fight back against their Kinect Overlords.  So those of you who, like me, are aging fantastically may just as well give up now and find some silver lining to only playing Teen Rated games ever again.

This feature can be disabled...that is, if the Kinect lets you.

We wouldn't want people to be shortsighted when considering ways to improve parental securities on consoles. There certainly will be a demographic that has gotten the short end of the stick. I'm just glad I haven't drawn the short straw yet.

This is fine and all, but I'm still waiting on mine to send a terminator to my house to try and kill me. That fight shall be glorious.

glad I became 19 before this shit started, lol
watch the Kinect become self aware and live on it's own, restricting game time, eating discs, and lastly going on a killing spree by self developing alien weaponry from the Xbox 360 parts and then the Kinect will take over Microsoft, then small countries, then the whole world, leaving us as slaves of the machines for repair, maintenance and scavenging for parts.
it's only about time *puts on my tinfoil hat*

this is soo stupid...the kinect isnt even precise enough to tell the difference...Like what is the body size cutoff between adult and children? What happen if you are a big ass child or a lil ass adult? What happens if I sit down? etc...
