These awesome skins will be yours rather than not at all.

Weeks ago I told you guys about the awesome assortment of skins players can get based on where they preorder and purchase the latest Batman title and while we are still as week out Rocksteady let slip today everything you could want to know about the game's immediate assortment of DLC.

First off, let's clear things once again for all: all of the pre-order DLC for the game will be made available for download later on for everyone (Gamestop's Joker Challenge Map unconfirmed at this time).  The skins you see above will be released on December 6th for $4.99.

Next we have the Robin Challenge Maps which I talked about last week.  Warner Bros confirmed this afternoon that the Robin Challenge Maps will be available November 22nd for $6.99 and will also come with two alternate skins for Robin.

Finally, we have the much rumored Nightwing Challenge Maps.  Nightwing fights with two tonfas and across a pair of maps: Wayne Manor and Main Hall (wherever that is).  The Nightwing pack will be available November 1st for $6.99 and also comes with an Animated Series skin for him.

You can check out a shot of Nightwing below but I gotta say that this is, for once, a nice DLC scheme.  A steady stream of content over the course of a month gives you plenty of incentive to return to Gotham City even in the face of Modern Warfare 3, Skyrim and the like.  You can bet your ass I'll be grabbing all the above content and I wouldn't be surprised if the other 4Player staff does the same.  Joseph is doing the review for the game so you can expect to read his thoughts on it (hopefully) next week.

I like how it's available everywhere and not just australia for some costumes and cfrap like that. Also, I like how the DLC isn't just skins but is also new challenges so all my worries are now flushed away in a swirl of wonder :]

i guess thats alright....kinda wish they didnt make us pledge our allegiance with a pre order for these things....but I guess some of those costumes are well worth it!

I was hoping they'd all be DLC eventually. I can't pre-order everywhere. But still, I hate that these would have simply been free unlockables a few years ago.

NIGHTWING?! Ugh it's so hard to resist. Nightwing is probably my favorite character in the Batman universe...maybe even more than Batman. I'm glad they chose the original version of his "modern" costume rather than the New 52 one. If you read the comics the artists always depict his body...what was I saying...?

However, if I wait for Arkham City to get cheaper, then I won't feel so bad buying this DLC. I'm trying to only buy Skyrim until the holiday sales...

I'm just going to wait for the GOTY edition to come out and buy it then, I'll probably rent it to finish the story when it comes out though
