I only had time to play one round but man it seems fun so far. I'm new the the battlefield series but I was BC2 replays on youtube all the time so it feels familiar. Actually, this is the first "modern" shooter I've ever played and I had a blast. Points for suppressing fire and aiding your team? Fuck yeah.

obviously the graphics have been toned way the hell down so they can fit it into a 1gb download. I'm loving it though, already level 12 or 13. racking up the MVP ribbons.

It's on PSN too. And man am I loving it. Everything is just so, fluid and smooth. CoD feels jittery and mechanical whereas BF3 is smoooooth.

anyone else wondering why u can "cook" grenades? also you can equip grenades, but whats the point if you can quick throw without having to equip them in the first place??....

Ugh, why does EVERY Battlefield game have server issues of some kind? I'm angry, but really not that surprised, hopefully it'll be fixed tomorrow.

Played the XBOX 360 version. I get that graphical flickering aswell, but I'm not sure if that's just a glitch when someone has a flashlight or laser light?

So i downloaded it as well for the xbox 360. its fun so far and i know there is buggy problems going on. its a beta so i expect it. for a quick DL i'm am impressed. Can't wait for the whole game to come out!! good thing EA/DICE are doing the beta now, so all these issues will get fix :).

Hurr hurr why would anyone even bother with the XBL version? PC is where it's at, all y'all console players are missing out on our trees and pebbles! We play MAG-sized matches because we're PC gamers and we're so much better than you!

Yeah, rather than just say I'm sick of PC elitism, I've decided to go the passive-aggressive sarcasm route.

I tried to play it on PC for half an hour or so. Will be playing more over the weekend. I won't be commenting on graphics since I'm not playing on high settings and map itself, according to others, not the best looking one. First of all, I don't like web-based server browser. It just makes a game look cheap, like it's free to play. Another issue is with key binds. You can't bind mouse keys at all. It's a bug that DICE is aware, but I guess decided it's not important enough to fix before beta... So for players like me who use mouse 2 instead of "w" to move forward, they are screwed and forced to use "w" or jump through hoops to assign keyboard keys to mouse buttons by using mouse software. Another issue is that we can't change game options when dead. WHY the fuck not? This is obsoletely retarded that I have to spawn and go hide in the bushes somewhere just to change my settings and pray not to get killed because then your options screen goes poof.
The game needs fixes for basic bugs that should be fixed in Alpha. I hope they have enough time before the release.

Operation Metro doesn't seem like a good map to try out the Beta.
It doesn't show everything BF3 has to offer. Now from what I've seen of the Caspian Border, THAT would have been a good map to test.
