Dark Souls - Prepare to Die

Am I the only one who wishes it was called "Lost Souls"? "Dark" is a very popular prefix.

I keep wondering how they are going to out do the moment in Demon Souls where an actual player would come into your game and fight you.

It warms my heart to know that some developers still won't shy away from using challenging gameplay as a selling point for their product, especially in this age where games are so content to just string players along through their crappy stories.

Probably going to make a knight again, with some abilities to cast either spells or miracles. I just need to know whether that bolt they showed is part of magic or faith.

This is a more honest trailer than their last few, where they showed gameplay. They made the gameplay look easy....somehow.

I still think that alot of people will go in underestimating how hard (I'm sure) it'll be. Maybe they should do a candid commercial, you know, sit the audience down and give them a good talk; Listen, this game is hard. No really, it is. Have you ever thrown a controller? Hmm, I see. I am one of the many people that have yet to actually finish Demon's Soul's (< still one of the most oddly worded titles) but fear not! I will go into this game and receive the ass kicking I'm sure I deserve

Never got the last game, the graphics seemed cheap and glowy every time I see it played or screenshots and constant deaths isn't my idea of fun.

Also the ability to make the random ally part of your friends list would make great DLC material. Same as the ability to block stupid players only for them to be a part of your "enemy" list as a funny little twist.

Can't wait to try this game on the 360. This game looked so interesting but I never got the chance to play it because I own an Xbox.

I really wan't to get this day one but it decided to get around to playing Demon Souls first.

On a side note, anyone know if the story of the games are going to be connected, or even in the same universe?

I did love this trailer. It allowed us to get some good sense of scale of some of the larger monsters they've shown in previous trailers and some of them look pretty damn big!

My only problem with the trailer is the music. I think the song itself is fantastic, no complaints there but it didn't really give me a good vibe for the game. This isn't the kind of music that puts my head in that dread-filled, gothic mindset that Demon's Souls (and I know full well, Dark Souls as a game) has to it.

Kinda reminds me of the whole Dragon Age/This is the new Shit trailer but it's not a huge deal. I'll only be genuinly annoyed if the soundtrack itself doesn't fit. Last thing I need is to be fighting the final boss to Journey's ''Don't Stop Believing'', hehe.

Never played Demon Souls as I don't have a PS3. Looking forward to this game so much. Want to see how challenging it actually is. Haven't played a game that has been just genuinely hard as fuck since the likes of F-Zero GX.

I have played over 250 hours of Demon's Souls and watched every single video/trailer there is for Dark Souls, and nothing is more terrifying than that giant wolf with a sword. This game is my most anticipated game of all time and I can't wait to die over and over and over again.

Im a fan of Demon's Souls and yes it is a difficult game. Only the true warrior can beat it. I pre ordered it and cant wait for it.
