Platinum Games director Hideki Kamiya may have let out that we will be seeing an announcement concerning Bayonetta 2 sometime this week. Responding to a questions asking about the sequel, Kamiya responded, “this week…in a magazine.”
No word if he's talking about Famitsu (most probably), or another American based gaming magazine but you can be sure that from this point on everyone's ears are peaked. The original Bayonetta was released back on January 5, 2010 leaving gamers, especially those with high libidos, yearning for more ever since.

Oh that silly Kamiya. After hearing the sudden rumors that Platnium Games was going to release some Bayonetta 2 information, Platinum producer Atsushi Inaba quickly shot down the rumor on his Twitter saying, ""There is no such announcement!"
Now of course, this isn't the first time we've had the leak of a game cause the developer higher ups to go scrambling. But it's more likely that this was truly nothing more than an epic trolling on Kamiya's part.

Let it also be known that Kamiya has been being spammed by 20 thousand tweets or so about this and they all link back to one saying that this is "NOT TRUE"

I love Bayonetta. But, I don't know if it needs a sequel. I'd obviously buy it and probably enjoy it though.

Gah! I absolutely hope there is truth to this. i thoroughly enjoyed this game, and would love to see more. not entirely sure what sort of story would unfold, but it could be interesting nonetheless, and i also wonder if the enemies would be different.

Interesting. I don't know how I feel about it, though. Not that Bayonetta wasn't good, I just don't know how well a sequel would do.
However, I'd love to see a sequel to Vanquish.

People have been tweeting Kamiya about for a while, I think its a rumor, but he doesn't deny it and plays along.
It would be awesome to have a sequel though.

The nature of the game doesnt really lend itself to a sequel. While I loved Bayonetta Id like to see Kamiya working on something fresh. I dont want it becoming stale like the DMC series.

I LOVE Bayonetta. Definitely one of my most favorite games of 2010. But to be honest, I'm not sure what to think of a sequel. Don't know if it will be a good thing or not. I would really hate to see the Bayonetta name tarnished by a sequel that may be unnecessary. But as long as Kamiya is involved, there may be nothing to worry about.
Suppose we'll wait and see.
