Thanks for the epic podcast! Quality sounds amazing guys!! I for one am exited as shit to hear about the Ps3 price drop, as I only have a ps2,wii (Yes I have a wii you guys), and My awful laptop that I'm currently saving up to replace. This means that I will finally be able to save up for a refurbished/preowned 60gb model to get so I can get rid of my Ps2.

I am glad you guys made this special address to the community. I really don't think people give you guys enough credit about what you do. Most of your viewers tend to be kids that have not worked and do not know how hard college is. They also don't seem to know that things take up time in a day. I hope this special address is understood amongst the viewers that just do not get the difficulties of life outside of living with their parents. I am sorry if this offends anyone that is just how I see this situation. I have been around in chat for months now to know that a huge part of the audience is around the age of 15 or maybe less. Anyhow I'm not here to attack anyone. Thanks 4pp for this special address and I really hope it clears up some issues.

Both podcasts sound great when you speak normally or slightly louder.
When you shout there seems to be a slight distortion(?).
I want to see more Tactics Ogre on the feed, really enjoy when Brad played it.

Im listening to the 4pp address the community as I type this. I listened to the main show live. The address to the community is excellent and needed to be done. Ive listened for years and have recently started to lose a bit of interest but this renews me. Ill post more after Im done listening entirely.

After listening to this I had to find Farewell Hyrule King, now I cant stop listening to it.

Really excited to hear some more of the good audio quality. Though I didn't really have much of a critique I appreciate the time and dedication put into an address to the community, not many other sites (video game related or otherwise) would record a podcast to open discussion like that.

Like what CrossOutlaw said, the Caption of the Week is great for the live broadcast but it doesn't help at all with the listeners via itunes or zune. I suggest linking to the images or l inking to the broadcast from the archives so that every listener can be a part of this segment.
Otherwise, another great show!

I haven't actually listened to this podcast yet, but I just finished listening to the community "addressal" podcast. I am a longtime listener of 4pp and I watch live multiple times weekly, although most of the time I just end up lurking and not chatting, for reasons I will address later. I want to start out by saying that I never thought for one second that any lack of "improvements" meant that 4PP was ignoring us. Of course, It's always great to see new podcast types or special broadcast events, but not once did I ever think, "wow, this could use improvement, they must be ignoring us since they won't fix it". I was not even aware that there was this whole big thing against them until listening to the podcast.
I know 4PP is very strongly community driven, but I think that saying that gives some people the impression that they have the right to boss around the guys at 4PP. You don't. I don't. We can give suggestions and constructive criticism, but taking shots for the explicit and sole reason of offending multiple or any one specific member of the podcast is completely wrong and you're out of line if you think you can do that shit. As they say in the podcast, they have personal lives as well, and if you think that you have the right to tell them that they should spend every second of their lives working on the site, then you can go fuck right off.
I would like to go back to a point that I mentioned earlier, and that's why I don't spend much time chatting during the live stream. It's no fault to 4PP themselves, but I feel that a lot of the time I am treated unjustly in chat. No, I don't have an authority problem and no, I'm not pointing fingers. I know that I really have no rights in an internet chatbox, but I still feel like I deserve to be treated as a human, just as the guys at 4PP do. Just like every human does. And yet, it seems like every time I "open my mouth" in chat, anything I say gets shot down, both by mods and regular chatters. I get chastised for stating my opinions, which I feel are completely valid. I never, EVER say anything to offend anybody or put anybody down, and yet people do these things to me and it sucks hard. I find it hard to tell my friends to check out 4PP and become part of the community when the community closes itself off to newcomers and treats their opinions as invalid instead of being open-minded and possibly making new friends. Isn't that what 4PlayerPodcast is all about? Sharing honest, uncensored opinions of video games while still having constructive debates? I feel like whenever I try to start a worthwhile discussion in chat, it is stopped short by a chatter or mod that disagrees with me and puts an end to discussion. And that sucks.

You know, I enjoyed that community podcast. It was nice to see a more personal side to things, and to hear a sort of "behind-the-scenes" point of view, not to mention addressing matters head-on instead of just sidestepping them. Downloading the show itself as I type this. Have to say, the audio quality really is massively improved lately, glad you guys got the new setup!

I think a lot of people are younger and don;t understand the problems of everyday life when you are your own support system, it's a grind. I wish you guys much success and like I said hats off to you for wanting to continue to improve even with all the negativity.

Thank you for the podcast, thought about posting in the thread but decided to do it here instead. The Battlefield 3 co-op news sure hit me when I heard it, never saw footage or news about it, really looking forward to that specially after the trailer showing the jets.

While I haven't actually gotten a chance to listen to this one yet, I did manage to catch the last half during the broadcast. I really enjoyed what I heard. Looking forward to listening to the game impressions.

Great show, the quality of both the content and the audio is excellent.

I agree with the comments made on the ChatBox in the forums. Brad made a request a while back to leave input on a certain thread about something. I can't remember for the life of me what exactly it was. But I couldn't find the thread on this specific topic. I asked some people who were chatting in the ChatBox numerous times where I could find it and never got a response. It was very active as well. So I decided not to post anything. I think the Chatbox SHOULD be used for questions and such as it would have helped me be introduced to the forums. I'm I am not the first one with this problem. Just my two cents!

Thanks for the show guys, you're one of the best podcasts that i listen, together with others from my country. I'm really looking foward to Battlefield 3 and the new CS but I fear it'll be another generic fps... I bought Catherine after seeing David play through the last stage and I think this game is great, some stages are f* hard but Catherine and is easily one of the best games I played this year and Tactics Ogre too. And I must say the audio looks much better than before but I miss the old intro.

I've listen/tuned in to you guys for quite a while now and i just want to say i respect your guys' opinions and views on video games and other related topics. Its to the point where i eventually buy a game because i heard you guys talk about it on the podcast or saw it on the feed. Also, you guys educated me about video game companies and i soon became more interested in the people who make the games i play or want to play. So i just want to Thank you guys. I have a bunch of game music and soundclips as ringtones (got an iPhone a couple of weeks ago). For instance, for messages, I have Joker from Mass Effect saying, "Message coming in; patching it through" though I also kinda like Kelly going, "Commander, you have a new message at your private terminal." In my old phone, I had a bunch of different MIDI files from vgmusic.com.

If the next ZOE is on 3DS...I'm probably not going to buy it. I completely agree with Brad. But I didn't know that an HD version of the previous games was getting released! Definitely picking that up.

I just recently got back into Fallout: New Vegas and am now obsessed with it again, so I'm also having trouble finishing the original Deus Ex. I'm planning on picking up the DLC after finishing DEHR unless I just want to keep playing that.

Great podcast again! I'm off to listen to the community podcast, even though I'm not really aware of supposed drama that's been going on.

The second podcast was interesting to listen to. I've kinda steered away from your broadcasts for a short while as I felt the same as a few of the others on the forums. I won't go into detail, but it was nice to hear you address the "issues" and respond.

Good show, been waiting to hear the rest of it after watching half of it on the feed.

David sounds louder than everyone else for most of it, it might just be a distance-to-mic issue.

I have just recently started to listen to the podcast outside the feed. This was the first podcast that I listened in on. I then when back to a few recorded before the new setup. This new setup has definetely improved the sound quality and was a good choice to improve it.
Also being newer to the community I didn't know much about the drama in the forums, and it makes me glad that we have people that are caring so much for our own enjoyment.
I look forward to alot more fun podcast.

Okay, this is going to be a bit out of the blue here, but I've only just begun to observe the podcast image. So, of course the guy with the gun is John Marston, but I've just now realized that P.B. Winterbottom is also in the image and some other female character. Look at winterbottom's expression, now look at the girl, and now look at how they're positioned. Now, look at PB's facial expression. Are you laughing? Because I certainly did. I'm sure this wasn't intentional, but for those of use who didn't know any better we would think that winterbottom is actually a very tall character who is standing behind a female in a lewd position. I just thought I'd point that out. Now, you can't unsee what I've seen. Time for a new podcast image, perhaps?

I usually listen to your podcast at work, so I'm wary of coming to a gaming website while I'm here. By the time I get home, I just don't have the podcast on my mind, so I don't think to post.

That was one of the main reason why sometimes I just left the site after reading something. I just didn't want to look dumb posting just "Hey I liked this episode" in 234 different ways. or "Good article Nick, Brad, Carlos...etc...etc."

Really liking that new opening music so far. And I'm glad that we can finally hear what you guys are thinking about when it comes to the site and the community. Y'all know you're awesome, don't even try to hide it.

Very entertaining show but still having problems with the level of the sound, it got a little better but I was still putting the volume slider over 75%. I am not sort of worried about the life of my $90 headphones I use to listen with. Still, a very good show and parts had me pausing so I could calm down from laughing so hard.

Great Show guys you are really improving, you guys have one of the best "emails from the audience" part from all the shows i hear. Keep the great work!

Sound quality is much better than the last one. Can't think of any negatives on the quality of the podcast this time. All positives from me.

I listened to both of the podcasts, and I must say that I'm glad that you guys put in the effort to express these issues, although I know you really had no choice in the matter. I'm not a very active member, sometimes I watch the broadcast and sometimes I listen to the podcasts. I also have to admit that I started listening to your podcasts after I watched the youtube highlights.

I remember asking a question on one of your podcasts and David mispronounced my name, but at a very good effort. He commented about it saying to email him, but at the time I just thought that I shouldn't! I was sick at the time and I stayed home to watch your podcast live (It's noon in Bangalore while you guys are broadcasting.) and you guys brought a smile to my ill-sighted face.

I must say, thanks again for answering my question, you have no idea how much it brightened my day!

After two years of listening to the poor sound quality of before, it's still surprising me to hear the new sound this podcast has. It's really something else. >.> Definitely an improvement worth having, that new sound mixer. G'job, dudes.

The podcast quality was excellent, big upgrade to the sound quality unlike the previous episode. Overall, the podcast was great, I was really looking forward to David's opinion about Catherine since I saw him finish it on the feed. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into these podcasts, aside from the Diggnation podcast, this is the only other podcast I actually listen to. Keep up the great work guys.
