We all love ourselves some Double Dragon. Say what you will about its abode on the 'antiquated' shelf, that's one Top Shelf mother fucker.   Well, you should be glad to know that Double Dragon 2: The Revenge is finally making its way to XBLA, however it may not be in the form you're expecting.

Wander of the Dragons is a 3D remake of Double Dragon 2 being developed by Barunson Interactive.  It features 3D graphics, revamped gameplay, a modern combo system, and completely different character designs.  This basically seems to mean that it's a beat'em up game with the same levels as Double Dragon 2 but with different characters and revamped gameplay. Which...kinda doesn't sound like Double Dragon 2 and more like a deformed baby of Double Dragon 2 which has found the ability to suck in Double Dragon's soul through it's gooey and tooth-laden maw. The type of slithering thing which makes abortion seem like a very, very good idea.  Because it is.

But really...I'll totally play this.

Nice spin there, Joseph. :) I wouldn't have minded a direct arcade port, but I'm still looking forward to this one.

This game looks like a bad port of Fighting Force on the PSx
