Luftrauser is a 2D arcade-like aerial combat game by Vlambeer. The thing that really makes this game is the controls. There is a button that turns on thrust which is required to fly. You can also turn off the thrust by letting go of the button, causing the plane to fall quickly and the turning speed to become much faster. The game ends up feeling more acrobatic than something like Time Pilot. Planes will show up from behind, signaling you to cut the thrust, turn quickly while falling, shoot them, and then thrust away. Sessions are really short and it is great fun to see how long you can last as the difficulty quickly ramps up.

Now that's pretty sweet. Can't seem to get the hang of the boats though, would be nice if you had a bomb.

Wow an indie name i actually recognize. Super Crate Box was awesome and i still got it dl'ed on my comp. Radical fishing was pretty good as far as flash games go. Luftrauser has decent aesthetic, great sound design, tight controls and but cannot hold my interest for that long.

I like it. It's so simple, yet just feels so good to play. I also really enjoyed the music, it just sounded so good to me.
