Oh, the joy shall fall as rain to our PlayStation and PC users as I play the role of harbinger to this news! For it is fortold that Limbo, formeraly an XBLA exclusive, shall be arriving on PSN and Steam.
One of the prying eyes at Jotstiq noticed a Korean Ratings Board listing being sought by Sony which cleared the way for Playdead CEO and co-founder Dino Patti to confirm the rumor.
"This might be the second time around we have been waiting for, Limbo is in production for Steam and PSN, and is coming very soon."
So there you have it. Playdead is handing the port themselves which should ease the fears that other platforms might get subpar versions of the original game. And we can all be a little happier that a fantastic indie game will be in the hands of more people.

The day I've been waiting for has finally come! While I don't currently own a 360, this was one (among other factors) that was strongly driving a purchase. Now I can delay that a while longer by buying Limbo on PSN :) Still, I probably will break down and buy a 360 so I can develop and test my XNA games on the console.

I never really doubted that it would eventually. This happens with most of the XBox summer exclusives. The window for exclusivity that they paid for runs out and poof, it is now there for everyone. As long as it isn't made by a studio Microsoft directly owns that is.

i am so happy about this i felt so jealous of my friend who has access to games like this on xbox360 yet never gives them a shot and instead plays cod for the 50th time and only cares about the downloads for the new map packs (the kid drives me nuts sometimes)

I'm excited to eventually get my hands on this game. I've seen and heard many great things about it. It's a good thing I don't really remember all of the details when the 4PP crew talked about it, so that when I do eventually get this game, not too much is spoiled.
