Playstation blog has found it within it's good grace to offer us a look at two of the new maps being released in the upcoming Killzone 3 "From the Ashes" pack. Four will be included with the pack, but be it far from me to question the preternatural ways of the Almighty PlayStation Blog. For it is only by its love and overwhelming benevolence that we even dare to exist at all!

Below you'll find  preview video of Lente Missile Base,"a Warzone map for 24 players set inside an abandoned missile base at the edge of the Kaznan Jungle. One of many outdated defense facilities abandoned after the discovery of nuclear Petrusite, Lente Base is slowly being reclaimed by Helghan’s strange plant life. But when warring ISA and Helghast forces stumble across the remains of the facility, they find that most of its systems are still operational. As both factions vie for control of the base, the facility begins firing its missiles – frying anyone caught in the underground exhaust vents…"

Did I get that correct PlayStation Blog? For I am but a humble journalist who is not worthy of licking my flesh off your boots after you find it, in your mercy, to squash me into the ground like the festering bug that I am.

The second gift bestowed on us from the PlayStation blog, in his grand plan that we shalt not question,  features Mobile Factory, "The second preview video features Mobile Factory, a Guerrilla Warfare map for 16 players set aboard one of the largest vehicles from the single player campaign. Part resource production facility, part moving fortress, the Mobile Factory is a strategic asset that both factions desperately want to seize control of. Combatants need to watch their step, however, as a single mistake can cause them to plummet into the heavy duty scrap metal shredders at the bottom of the facility. Those looking to do some shredding of their own will be able to wield one of two portable miniguns found in the Mobile Factory."

The "From The Ashes Pack" will be released on Tuesday, June 21st for $4.99, or you can get the bundle pack which includes the Retro Pack, the Steel Rain Pack and the From The Ashes Pack (8 maps in total) for a cool ten bucks.

Killzone is one of the worst series I've played. Overly cliche characters/dialog and terrible control scheme, I'm surprised it's lasted this long. The fact that you even published an article about DLC's is sad enough, because these sort of map-packs are a complete waste of money and time, but because it was about killzone is even worse. I expect more insightful articles from 4playerpodcast.

I considered buying this game for the online play, but after battlefield bad company 2 I can't see myself playing multiplayer on such small maps. It just doesn't seem reasonable to me!
