Announced late last year, Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale is a co-op dungeon crawler being developed by Atari and Bedlam Games for XBLA and the Playstation Network.  It's great to see this type of game making a resurgence in gaming. With this, Torchlight, Diablo III coming at some point, Hunted: Demon's Forge, and Dungeon Siege III, you can now basically engorge yourself with dungeony, looty, monster killery goodness.

The game will feature single player or up to 4 player cooperative play as you purge all sorts of demons and pestilence from the "Mines of Tethyamar" and the "Tower of Rezlus".  Loot, experience, player leveling and skills enhancements are all on the menu making it a fairly robust experience for an arcade title.

Below you can see the new trailer for Daggerdale which shows of the Fighter class, and you can guess that it's all slashing and sword spinning. Though good, I'm really interested to see how the other classes play. Things tend to get much more interesting when you have magic and traps being thrown around as well.

Looks kinda generic from here. Game doesnt really look bad or good to me, not enough info. Though between games like Demon's Souls and Diablo 2 i find myself becoming picky...

I like how people are comparing this to Demon Souls and Diablo 3. It's an XBLA and PSN game. I wouldn't compare this arcade title with full retail price high budget greatly hyped titles such as Demon Souls 2 and Diablo 3.This trailer didn't show much anyway, I will reserve my judgments until more is seen.

Looks pretty generic, which is unfortunate.
