So Duke Nukem: Forever Has a 'Smack the Babe' Multiplayer Mode

I can't help but think that this is so over the top, and so completely hilarious, that it's the one thing from Duken Nukem: Forever that's going to get people's blood boiling the most.  Coming with normal deathmatch (called DUKEmatch here) and Team deat...I mean Dukematch will be a game mode called "Capture the Babe."  And if you think that this is going to be like normal Capture the Flag mode, allow me to show you otherwise.   Duke4.net is reporting that in this mode the opposing team's babe will sometimes "freak out" when captured, "so you have to give her a gentle smack to quiet her down".

I'm not sure if her screaming and clawing slows you down, or maybe it's so loud that you can't hear other enemies coming? But I do know this, it seems like the sort of thing that is ripe for getting people all offended and part of me, though thinking it's fantastically hilarious, hopes Gearbox isn't surprised when the hate mail starts rolling in. In other words, I hope Randy Pitchford is ready for a letter from this guy.

Besides the Kidnapping mode you can also look forward to:

• Jetpacks  in some multiplayer maps

• You can plant trip bombs on players and enemies

• Weapons include: pistol, shotgun, ripper chaingun, pipebomb, rpg, shrinker, railgun, freezer, devestator, tripbomb.

• Gain experience points through kills that you can use to customize your Duke character

• 8 Players max with teams of 4 vs. 4
