You all know me primarily as a lover of punk music but I'm actually much more eclectic than that. Sure I love me some Dead Kennedy's and Misfits, but I'm also down with a little Deicide, video game remixes, lounge music and sometimes some good rap (Lil' Jon and the Eastside boyz a personal favorite). So I was a little excited when I learned this morning that rapper 'Random' has released an album fully themed in Final Fantasy VII glory. We're talking storyline, music samples, the works.
You can listen to samples and purchase the album here. It's good stuff to be sure, and now you can roll along the ave, sipping a 40 and still let your geek flag fly.

Great find. Planning on purchasing this. Details is what I like in my hip-hop. This guy does it very well. Aerith is an amazing track on the album.

Aside from the fact that the lyric in this album actually relates to the game, I think Vinyl Fantasy 7 is a far superior album.
On a side note, people need to make albums for other games.

Hey Joseph, have you heard of Duane and Brand0? They were a rap group which based their songs around classic NES games. High quality indeed.
