You heard me correctly. A shotgun pistol. Sure the engineer can also repair stuff and place turrets, but thats nothing, NOTHING, compared to the orgasmic beauty of running around the battlefield with a god-damned shotgun pistol.

I'm going to roll engineer, but I'll be using the battle pistol which shoots GRENADES. I'm going to need it since I'll also be using proximity mines which aren't as good as hand grenades for clearing out a room.

TF2 already has a shotgun pistol, look up the "Short Stop"

it was available in the beta, and was sadly not as awesome (see: powerful) as it sounds.
also uncharted 2 had shotgun pistols which were very satisfying to use (midair jump-shot double kills please)

Borderlands shotgun pistols (called mashers) were my go to in that game, at least for my Hunter.

After playing the multiplayer for a good few hours. It is easy to say Engineer and Infiltrator are the best classes in the game.
