In case you're not aware, Suda 51's new Kinect game was announced at this past TGS but only given the temporary title Codename D. Well today the watchful eyes at Siliconera noticed something that changes all of that.
They noticed a Trademark listing from Suda 51's company, Grasshopper Manufacture, for the title Diabolical Pitch. This may tie into the reveal trailer shown at TGS which showed a bizarre carnival, men wearing animal masks and a protagonist holding a flaming baseball which makes the tigerman's head explode. The presentation explained "You must fight for your life to survive an evil amusement park filled with twisted and eerie creatures. With codename D for Kinect for Xbox 360, you are the controller as you unleash devastating effects to destroy enemies and objects."
So are we looking at, possibly, an on-rails type shooter where you are using your arm to throw a baseball at enemies? It's all speculation at this point but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that, yes. This is exactly what this is going to be. When am I ever wrong?

Sounds like high probability of a hit there in terms of your prediction. I'm not really sure what else could be assumed from it although there will probably be more "mechanics" then just throwing... maybe batting as well?

Did they intentionally mispell diabolical? Is there some deeper meaning i'm missing here or is it just a normal spelling error?

if this is a on-rails type shooter where you throw baseball at things than that would be kind of a let down i guess. I'm still waiting to see if the kinect can really live up to the potential ppl have been talking about. Maybe the steel battalion game or project draco will be doing something surprising.

Honestly, I think I will get this game just for that Tigerman hahaha...that just makes it look super awesome for some reason. I'm liking the visuals, even if the gameplay will probably be sub-par, at best.

sounds like dead rising where you play as an American football player trapped in a carnival or a sircus filled with "erie creatures" and the flaming-football may be a secondary weapon or something, idk, thats just how I interpented it.
though seeing this is a kinect game, an on-rails shooter sounds a lot more likely, if it's well made and fun with good control implementation I wouldn't mind that
