I'm not a huge fan of late night television but I do appreciate Jimmy Fallon for intentionally drawing the public eye towards this industry. Last night on Fallon, Jimmy, along with Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra of Naughty Dog, did the first public demonstration of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. For a year out, this game definitely seems on track to continue the legacy of epic left by it's predecessor. In the footage, Drake and Sully desperately try to escape a burning chateau while being shot at by dudes.... Now if they could just tweak the aiming.

While JF seems to have more trouble than most with the aiming, the video actually brings up one of my frustrations with the aiming system in Uncharted. It always seemed so pinpoint, and not as responsive as you'd want shooting to feel.
Regardless, woo Uncharted 3!

If they're going to have supernatural monster enemies towards the end like the first 2 games, I really hope they bring back the auto-aim while shooting at the hip. It made fighting the Descendants tolerable in the first one, and it could've helped against the Guardians in the second.

I get the feeling Mr. Fallon plays his games inverted...
On another note, were my eyes deceiving me? The game looks just as good as U2 did, probably will look better by release, BUT, what stood out to me was the framerate. It looks smooth. Am I just seeing things?

Looks pretty good just was a clunky way to show it being the pop out, shoot some doods from cover thing. Would of gone with some platforming thingy myself but they might not want to show that yet. This part looks kind of early game too, reminds me off Tomb Raider Underworld starting with the house on fire.
Also there will be mummies at the end of this game. They will keep up the tradition. At this point it should go all B movieish near the end with the monsters.
