It looks like the PSPgo is getting a price drop in the UK.  A £65 price drop to be exact, and though this is going into effect November 1st (before the holiday season) is it really enough?  The PSPgo has been a flop since it came out with people either sticking to their PSP 3000, or already being invested in the Nintendo DS. I'm not so sure if a drop of £65 is going to make anyone go out and grab one of these this Christmas.  Especially now with the upcoming Nintendo 3DS seemingly making all the handheld news lately.

Does this make a difference to any of our UK readers?  Or are you all saving your money for the 3DS?

as a former PSPgo owner, still not worth the price. I thought it was awesome to have. It was convenient, but sucked that if you want to play the UMD games you own, there is no way but to buy them, again, from PSN. For that price though, it is still not worth it.

Although it is appealing, as it would be the cheapest handheld system on the Market (I think), but is does not have the type of games that appeal to me. I got the original PSP, back in its day, I've gotten only 3 games and no more. Sony needs to make better games that appeal to a much wider audience, not make it cheaper as it still is as crappy as it was at £200. It is nice to see to see that Sony is realising that they were too confident with all of their newer consoles.

I still think it's not going to sell. I get buyers in my store who are interested and are willing to pay the full price but when I mention the digital download-only to them they completely disregard it.

    no
considering there was also the leak of a possible PSP2 by the Mortal Kombat people I see no point in even recommending the system to any of my friends.

The problem isn't the price, it's the fact that download only consoles just aren't appealing.

    I own one.

    Don't buy one.

Why? These things are FRAGILE. Not the screen or the buttons, which the buttons are good, but the actual internal connectors!

I took my apart when it stopped turning on/charging, and I couldn't even see a loose connector! I know though that it was probably loose as the loose battery connector was cited as a frequent issue.

Sent for repairs... hopefully it can be fixed. Ugggh.

You know, I have never even seen a PSPgo in person. I'll stick to my PSP 1000 thank you. =)

They could've dropped it by 100 dollars and I still wouldn't consider purchasing it. I like my UMDs, thanks.

Personally I don't play a lot of handheld games, the controls bother me too much, and I don't ever feel the need to sit down to play them; metal gear solid peacewalker has been sitting on my shelf with my psp for months now =/
so the psp nor the 3Ds is holding any of my interests at all, though I would borrow my sisters Ds to play super-scribblenauts, I still don't think even that would make me concider picking up a Ds.
I'll stick to my consoles, thankyouverymuch.

When I first heard Sony was releasing the PSPgo, I thought "Well, that doesn't make sense, where do you put the game?" I supposed it was to be marketed more as a mobile device that had video, music, and internet, but the timing of it was a little off. I'm fine with my PSP-2000 its served me well these past years, and with an 8gb memory card its pretty much my everything device, already. I'm saving up my cash for something else.

Until Sony puts all four shoulder buttons on the PSP and a overall better grip on it, I will never buy another PSP. On the PSPgo these are worse and the price still to high.

I stuck with my 3000 when this came out. It was too expensive and I own a total of 4 UMD games that I am not willing to purchase AGAIN. I personally am going to buy the 3ds when it comes out. Seeing as I have not purchased a Nintendo handheld since the advanced.

Although I have a hankering for a handheld console I think I'll just save my money for either a second hand psp that plays discs or just save for the nintendo 3ds. Like everyone else download only handheld does not seem interesting.
