A talented CVG- reader by the name of Ezequiel has sent the below Machinima over to CVG, and it's probably the closest thing we'll see to a GTA IV movie any time soon. In fact, I would say that given the recent failures of video games made into movies, it's probably better than we can ever expect to see.

Based on the GTA IV engine, and the world created by Rockstar, it's a gritty tale, that is definitely not really safe for work, showing the exploits of a shadowy figure who kind of looks like the sidekick from The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly.

Looks like it's going to be an Episodic release, but there is no word yet on when the next installment will be coming out.

During the monologue in the beginning I half expected him to start talking about Metal Gear.

Very well made. But all in all, it made no sense to me whatsoever.

That was probably the first movie/video I've watched where I don't know what exactly is going on but I don't really care. That was pretty damn badass, and I love GTAIV..

Ehh, I don't see too much Tuco in him. I never would have put the two together.

Anyway, it's a decent machinima, but I thought it was a bit boring. It's probably the best the director could do with such limited resources.

wow, that was pretty good. i like how this guy pretty much was paying homage to so many film techniques: hitchcock's silent and ominous still shots, alfonso cuaron's gritty handy-cam style, all topped with a bit of david lynch and christopher nolan. though i have one complaint and it was the music used for this. though there were some fine selections, some of the score was too overdramatic and felt out of place. the music would have fit inside a slasher film, an old suspense film and (especially at the that odd car chase scene) a blatant action movie. hell, maybe the music came from those exact types of films. if i meet this guy, my advice would be: stick with the silence and look for an onimous rumbling sounds when in those dark scenes (like in children of men or silent hill 2) or just use any ANY soundtrack from micheal giaccino (lost, fringe, star trek)...except the one for the movie up, of course.
