A man simply cannot take in news like this before his coffee, but that’s what I was forced to do this morning. Barely awake, eyes still heavy from the previous night slumber, I open my twitter account to find...this...happening.
In a years time our world will be graced with a Michael Jackson MMO. Now, don’t get me wrong. I love Michael Jackson. He was a fantastic artist and singer, but we’re currently a hell of a long way from Moonwalker now adays. A lot has happened since then.
The game is currently in development by SEE Virtual Worlds, within the Entropia Universe, and will be themed on “Michael's music, his life, and the global issues that concerned him'. *cough*
Since it’s taking place on Entropia I’m sure you can already guess that the game will be free but be fueled by a microtransaction model. So if you just want to feel up the game a bit, or get a taste, that’s free. But if you want to get deep inside of Michael Jackson, really feel your way on up there, well then you gotta pay like everyone else.

"When we first approached the Estate and talked about creating Planet Michael, one of our primary goals was to build an interactive environment where fans from all over the world come together to affirm Michael's life-long dedication to fostering global friendships," said Martin Biallas, CEO of SEE Virtual Worlds.
Why the very idea of this game makes me giddy as a schoolboy. I’m sure the game itself will be filled with a certain child-like charm. The kind that only Michael Jackson could procure.
But on the other hand, I can’t get over the feeling that Micheal Jackson’s corpse is being strung about like that guy in Weekend at Bernies just so someone can pull in a little coin by using the name. I guess we’ll see. I, for one, intend to take a look.

With all due respect, the man is dead. Stop milking his legacy with very needless things. I love mj's music as much as another fan, but they need to draw the line somewhere.

Joseph, your posts are my favorite ones, end of story. All those little bits of innuendo strewn in there, gotta love it lol.
As for the game... Well I was never an MMO person, though that one Star Wars one did peak my interest a few years ago. I do have a rule to keep away from them though, I would probably get addicted. But even then, I don't think I'd pick up a game about MJ. I was in grade school when all that controversy began to arise about his sleep overs. So I generally avoid most things with the MJ stamped on them. Plus, I get the feeling this is gonna fail. But we'll see, maybe it'll turn out to be popular.

People forget that there's a Hello Kitty MMO let alone that it was translated into english and is running don't they?
