A recent blurred and grainy picture has appeared on Dead Rising 2's viral website tapeitordie.com. features Chuck Greene fighting alongside a black haired individual wielding what appears to be a baseball bat.
The picture is accompanied by the "photographer's" oh so subtle comment regarding the mystery individual.
So, I go after him. But then I see some other dude. Vaguely recognized him. Maybe saw him at a party a few years back. Maybe a celebrity. Can't remember his name, though. Phil? Floyd? Regardless, he was fighting zombies, too. It was like Oktoberfest! But replace beer with zombies! And drinking with slaughter! It was like I'd died and gone to heaven.
Phil? Floyd? Phrank? Frank? Yeah it's Frank.
So it's all but confirmed that Frank West will be appearing in Dead Rising 2. Though in what capacity is yet to be determined. Will he be a story character? A co-op partner? An unlockable skin? All of the above? Looks like we'll have to wait and see. Dead Rising 2 will be available on the 360, PS3, and PC on September 28th.

I think I remember hearing him being a co-op partner, this makes me extraordinarily ecstatic because all of the public showings of Dead Rising 2 co-op just used the Chuck Greene model twice, while both Chucks where easily differentiated, one dawning a Groucho-esque mustache while one was sporting an Elvis body jumpsuit, it still reeked of lack of polish/inability to care.
Anywho, as someone who was expecting to play through this game with a good buddy; I am pleased.

Awhile back, I think a Capcom exec said that Frank West was "taking a break from Dead Rising 2" The screenshot could be fake, but I think it's a costume for Chuck Green 2 in coop (If they made Mega Man an unlockable costume, then they could make Frank West.) I'm sure we'll find out more later.

My theory is it's only like a alternate skin for Coop mode. Maybe Frank won't really tie into DR2's plot at all and is just there as an extra. I don't know, I'm not getting my hopes up.

A coop skin you unlock for completing the game or getting a particular cheevo sounds like the most likely possibility. But we will just have to wait and see.

highly unlikely unless if he got a constant stream of zombrex or figured out a cure to the zombie plage. so im thinking he is gona be a co-op player. but what i said might spoil the plot for some, but then again. just a theory

I am happy to here this, but I hope it is for a story reason or a co-op player. As I really did like that character.

I would hope that Frank actually have a part in the storyline of the game, however my guess is that it only a skin for co-op.
