To hell with the naysayers, with their saying of NAY! Deadly Premonition is a great game. It is only because of the naysayers unrefined pallet that they could not appreciate such a majesty of gaming. If, like me, you have the refined taste to suck down the nodules of greasy-goodness that Deadly Premonition lovingly feeds you, then you'll be excited to see that the new issue of GameDeveloper is running an exclusive postmortem on the cult hit. Want to get a peak into how the game was created on a shoestring budget? Then directer SWERY has your back.
"A realistic setting was also completely necessary for bringing this story to life. To build it, I posited three "reals:" "real time," "real scale," and "real life." Implementing these with our limited budget and resources proved to be extremely difficult, but despite a great deal of resistance (even from within the team!), I felt these three concepts were essential."
If you are one of the uninitiated and have not played this game yet then I implore you, nay I COMMAND YOU, do to so. I can promise that with a cutscene like this there is no way you will be disappointed.

You know, I'm pretty sure that Joseph is being sarcastic, but I liked deadly premonitions. Yeah, everything sucked, but for some reason I still enjoyed my time with it.
Except for the wall crawling mother fuckers. They can suck my left nut.

My friends and I did a joint effort to play this game. 4 people playing it while eating pizza pops and cake. Happy to say we finished it and I... I warmed up to it so much. The story is just so interesting...

I've been talking about playing this on the forums for weeks. It's on my shelf waiting it's turn. Glad to see all you naysayers jump on the band wagon as soon as it gets featured on 4PP homepage.

Meh, even if this is being sarcastic, I'm one of the fans and was ecstatic for the cover. The storyline is truly a mindfuck you must experience.

Dudes, this game was amazing! I can barely describe my feelings and reactions towards it. I felt like I was watching a cheesey horror film from the mid80s but it was 7+ hours long. From the opening scene with the creepy blond children playing near a dead body to the final Axe Man chase, it was purely original and a masterpiece

We're still on tenderhooks here on whether it'll get a PAL release or not...really hoping so.

Sadly, to play this game I'd have to track down an import PS3 version. =( I genuinely WANT to play it, but it's a hard pill to swallow at import prices.

People say this game is bad, gameplay wise yes , but the story and how it's told is amazing.
