I will refrain from talking to much about the game itself because I have yet to get my hands-on time with the game but it is definitely worth mentioning that Nintendo announced the first original Zelda for the Wii today!  Surprisingly, Nintendo opened with one of the more underwhelming reveals of the press briefing, Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Don't take this the wrong way because I am certainly happy to have a new Zelda officially coming down the pipeline but there was just something missing.  The trailer left a void in my heart that I don't see being filled until they finally reveal the details of the story and structure of the world itself.  The demonstration itself looked like a mock up environment that would act as a tech demo for the new Wii Motion Plus controls.

On a side not, I find it rather surprising that the game looks like a blend between the visuals of Twilight Princess and the Gamecube classic, Wind Waker.  I need to see more... and I will tomorrow.

Did I mention that Ocarina of Time might get a remake on the 3DS according to Nintendo's official Twitter page?  Having seen the 3DS with my own two eyes, I can almost confirm that I am more excited about this than I am about Skyward Sword.

I'm still a bit skeptical on the art style but the Wii Motionplus looks like it's being utilized in a smart way. I'll have to see some more combat and a dungeon before I can decide if I want this. An Ocarina of Time remake for 3DS however would kill the value of my Master Quest disc so eff that.

I get the feeling too. I think its because link is wearing pants, and it looks like a kids game; what happened to the dark tone that Twilight Princess brought or Majora's Mask had?
