Wii U Launch Line-Up Revealed

So, it's finally been announced.  A lot of skepticism has gone into just what will be available on launch day for Nintendo's newest console and now we know what's going to be demanding your cash come November 18th.

I can't think of anything quirky or funny right now to say about the line-up so, without further ado, here we go:

    • Assassin's Creed III
    • Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition
    • Call of Duty: Black Ops II
    • Darksiders II
    • Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two
    • EA Sports FIFA Soccer 13
    • ESPN Sports Connection
    • Game Party Champions
    • Just Dance 4
    • New Super Mario Bros. U
    • Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge
    • NintendoLand
    • Rabbids Land
    • Scribblenauts Unlimited
    • SiNG Party
    • Skylanders Giants
    • Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
    • Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition
    • Transformers Prime
    • Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper
    • Wipeout 3
    • Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013
    • ZombiU

So, that's what you can potentially throw money at come the week before Thanksgiving.  In addition though, Nintendo also dropped a list of titles arriving in the launch window (November 18th 2012 to March 31st 2013).

    • 007 Legends
    • Aliens: Colonial Marines
    • Ben 10 Omniverse
    • Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2013
    • Chasing Aurora
    • Cloudberry Kingdom
    • Family Party: 30 Great Games: Obstacle Arcade
    • Funky Barn
    • Game & Wario
    • Jeopardy!
    • Little Inferno
    • Lego City Undercover
    • Madden NFL 13
    • Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth
    • Mass Effect 3
    • Mighty Switch Force HD
    • Nano Assault Neo
    • NBA 2K13
    • Pikmin 3
    • Rapala Pro Bass Fishing
    • Rayman Legends
    • Rise of the Guardians: The Video Game
    • Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien
    • Tank! Tank! Tank!
    • Toki Tori 2
    • Trine 2: Director's Cut
    • Wii Fit U
    • Wheel of Fortune
    • The Wonderful 101

While I simply won't be able to afford a Wii U at launch (October is going to kill me) I do feel some of you on several disappointing points about this list.  No Pikmin 3 or The Wonderful 101 at launch?  Prime port titles like Mass Effect 3 and Madden 13 arriving after the system?  The lack of Rayman Legends, the game that sold so many on the system back at E3, on November 18th is very disappointing in my opinion.  I mean, seriously, how does fucking ESPN Sports Connection beat out Rayman Legends?

So, any thoughts?

These just look like a lot of games that I can have already on my PS3, and that's without buying ANOTHER console that'll probably be outdone when the next Xbox and PS4 come out.

I feel as though one of the few games that will help sales is Monster Hunter Ultimate. Other than that I am not confident for the future of this console, or the whole Wii thing in general

I agree. Most of the titles listed will mostly be purchased on another console. Monster Hunter Ultimate will prove to be another successful addition to a franchise that has grown to be one of Capcom's latest decent games. Then again, this is just coming from a fan of the series so don't take my word for it.

I still think this is by far one the best Launch line-up ever for a new console, Even though have of those games are already on current consoles or going to launch before the WiiU.
