Squeal Boy! 'Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs' Teaser Released
By Joseph Christ on June 14th, 2012 (20 comments)

I've already notified Brad, but I have yet to hear back. I would assume that he is currently cowering under a protective sheet of blankets and stuffed animals, tightly spooning his safety pillow, and whimpering silently to Gods that have long chosen not to heed his call.
The trailer for a new Amnesia game called Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, one that is being called an 'indirect sequel, has just been released and from the looks of it they have certainly turned things up a few notches. There has always been something scary about pigs, and pig-people is probably the next logical step in the poop-your-pants genera of games.
Check out the trailer below and I'm sure you can expect this to show up on our broadcast for some special occasion.

And I thought Piggsy from the Manhunt series was bad. Chills down my spine...
Link / ReplyGlad I'm not the only one that had a flashback to Manhunt there.
Link / ReplyFirst thing I thought about too... this could be quiet disturbing
Link / ReplyMore like Amnesia: Angry Pigs... but seriously, pig squeals have always bothered me.
Link / ReplyLooks like open, outdoor areas will be in the game, as well as open indoor areas like that church, opposed to The Dark Descent's tight, claustrophobic areas. Judging by the inkling of gameplay at the end of the trailer, this game will have the same core game mechanics from The Dark Descent, such as hiding from enemies because you can't wield any weapons. The art design, atmosphere, and the fact that it's a fucking new Amnesia game makes me very excited for it, even if the gameplay doesn't seem different. Having more open areas could provide some interesting moments, seeing as it could be harder to hide from the creatures pursuing you. Can't wait for it to come out. Fucking hyped.
Link / Reply;_; I know I will regret getting this game (I always do with horror games). BUT MY MANHOOD IS ON THE LINE!
Link / ReplyHey, Notch, learn a thing or two from these zombie pigmen.
Link / ReplyI seriously hope none of these pigs have chainsaws that would absolutely terrify me.
Link / ReplyEh...might not wanna take a gander at the icon for this post again, then...
Link / ReplyClearly you did not get the reference and also I believe that is a random image that the author got I have not seen anything like that while looking up this game.
Link / ReplyHyped! The original Amnesia was one of the best games I played on 2010.
Link / ReplyNice use of motel hell for the icon.
Link / ReplyEh, looks like it could feel like a stand alone expansion pack.
Link / ReplyLooks like this one might become a hamtastic game.
Link / ReplyYeah, it looks inswine
Link / ReplyI don't find pigs scary in the least (maybe since I live in a rural farmland area, perhaps), but this does look pretty unsettling. Interesting!
Link / ReplyLooks promising; for a sequel to the critically acclaimed original, they're showing quite a few familiar locales to remind fans that they're keeping close to what's right, but the teasing of the new exteriors are a nice refreshment that they're going to bring some new designs. My only hope is that they keep the same survival game play but make the setting original and their own. P.S. Great use of Motel Hell, Joseph, if he showed up in the game, I'd definitely be afraid to play.
Link / ReplyAnyone else think of the Seinfeld with Kramer thinking he saw pigmen? Also wtf.
Link / ReplyGOTY
Link / ReplyDidn't think I would be saying this, but the use of that pig was pretty damn unsettling.
