E3 2011: Day 2 Podcast

Today was the first official day of E3. After one last, and slightly underwhelming, press conference from Nintendo, it was time to step foot onto the show floor and play some games. The list of games we saw and played on the first full day was long but it still pales in comparison to the number of games we have yet to see. We cover some big titles that were shown behind closed doors and talk about the games that we got our hands on for the first time ever.

Games:

    • Luigi's Mansion 2
    • Twisted Metal X
    • Darkness 2
    • Aliens: Colonial Marines
    • XCOM
    • Hitman Absolution
    • Tomb Raider
    • Bioshock Infinite

and more...

**I apologize but there was a critical error made during the recording that caused us to lose our entire discussions of Deus Ex and Tomb Raider at the end... But we liked them... a lot... mostly**

I have been around since the very early days of 4Player but you may know me as “the short one” or the guy who is really into Dexter and that sweet new DmC reboot. I am a gaming enthusiast at my core and I love sharing my opinions on the subject with anyone who will listen. I am a cautious optimist and will try any game at least once. When it comes to gaming, I prefer to leave no stone unturned.

Crtical error = someone forgetting to plug in the mic. But another great podcast nonetheless.

Deus Ex and Tomb Raider? Ksfehsfjhlfr. The first is one of my most anticipated. The other one I was really interested in. D: I'll give it a listen later. Thanks for taking time out of your day to podcast though. :)

Thanks for this, it helped me at work. 1) I think it was...Justin talking about the Wiiiu's controller and playing with it in bed, and as from what I've read the controller streaming is not Wifi based but IR based, like wireless controllers on the 360, and so you'll need to be in the same room as the console. 2) Brad, can you elaborate on why you don't like Asura's Wrath? You said it was the QTEs but it looked to me to have the same amount as Bayonetta, which had a fuckton, and which you love as much as I do. 3)Also for Brad, you said that the new Tomb Raider is too open and doesn't feel like TR any more. Did you actually enjoy the last, like 3 games in the series? Outside of Guardian of Light, the last TR games were all train wrecks, and didn't feel like TR games themselves Hope Day 3 comes out in time for work tomorrow

Awesome job guys, really enjoyed listening! Looking forward to the next bunch. Glad to hear more about X-Com, I had been wondering what the fuck happened to it. I've never played the older ones, but it sounds like they did a good job changing it to please the fans. I'm hoping the new Hitman keeps the dark humor from Blood Money, because of stuff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0EKZgclqRQ
