I'd like to comment on Red Faction, the first Red Faction games were pretty linear shooters with destruction and also had monsters in them. They also had vehicle sequences such as a submarine and a aircraft. So having monsters, being underground and linear has been in the series since the beginning. I see Armageddon going back to it's roots rather than trying to be something else like Deadspace or limiting the environment.
